Charity work and financial help to improve medical & economic condition
OBJECTIVES
The trustee shall apply the income, and may at their discretion apply the whole or any part of the capital of the trust fund for the relief of sickness, poverty hardship and distress of persons resident in India, particularly but not exclusively in the Bihar and Jharkhand region, who are suffering as a result of natural disaster or who by reason of social and economic conditions are in need of assistance.
The trustee shall also apply the income, relief of sickness poverty in the U.K. and in India through the provisions of financial assistance to bodies engaged in medical research and the dissemination of useful results of such research and by providing or assisting in the provision of medical equipment for such organization that could not otherwise be purchased through statutory funds.

MANAGEMENT OF BMGCT
The Board of Trustees will conduct the day to day affairs of the Trust (Projects, Finance and Fund raising).
- A new Trustee or Trustees may be appointed at any time either by way of replacement or addition so that the total number of Trustees shall at no time exceed 9 (NINE).
- The power of appointment of new Trustees of the charity shall be fully vested in the Board of Trustees.
- One-third of the Trustees will be replaced at every three years.
- A Trustee shall cease to hold office if he/she is absent without prior notification to the Board of Trustees and for valid reasons from three consecutive Board meetings.
- Term of office for a Trustee will be for three years and can be renewed for a second term.
- The Board of Trustees will have the power to co-opt members on their individual merits, experiences and dedication in the best interest of the Trust. They will be ex-official members but not Trustees. Co-opted members will not have Voting Rights.
- There will at least four meetings of the Board of the Trustees in a year and if necessary, an ad-hoc meeting at a short notice with a minimum of 5 (FIVE) Trustees in attendance.
- The Board of Trustees wish to maintain a congenial relationship with all Medical Graduates from Bihar and Jharkhand who are resident in U.K.
- Annual report of the activities and accounts will be presented at the Annual General Meeting of the Trust.
- The Board of Trustees will have the following sub-groups with a lead Trustee supported by two other Trustees.BMGCT Constitution
- Projects (pertaining to the Objectives of the Trust)
- Finance & Fund Raising
- Day-To-Day Management Constitution may be reviewed every three years or earlier if deemed necessary.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION OF TRUSTEES
The Board of Trustees will discuss all the nominations received based on the following criteria. Selection for the replacement Trustees will be based on in the following criteria:
- Preferably a Graduate from one of the Medical Colleges of Bihar or Jharkhand
- Special interest in Charity / Voluntary work
- The Board of Trustees will require a brief profile of not more than 100 words (HUNDRED) and a photograph
- Selected Trustees will be expected to donate £250-00 (TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY POUNDS) to the B.M.G.C.T
- Contribution of £250-00 however does not guarantee to become a Trustee
- Consideration can be given for any other individual not necessary from Bihar or Jharkhand showing special interest in Charity work.
